Holly Shriner is a master’s student developing an area of study related to transnational Cold War cultural history of the United States and Russia. She received her BS in Journalism from KU in 1992 and was a newspaper reporter and then a magazine editor, communications director and marketing communications coordinator for a national trade association for auctioneers and a biological sciences company. She now works full-time as a Graduate Admissions Coordinator at KU as part of the Graduate Studies office. Her home life is far from quiet as she manages a household that includes her husband, two energetic elementary school-aged daughters and two outright crazy wild young dogs.
