Nicole received a BA in History and a BSE in Adolescent to Young Adult Education with a concentration in Integrated Social Studies from the University of Dayton before beginning the MA/PhD program in American Studies at KU. Her research interests focus on race, ethnicity and immigration within 19th century American popular culture.
