American Studies Fund
As the department’s only unrestricted expendable fund, the American Studies Fund is an indispensable resource for sponsoring visitor, faculty, and student lectures; meetings and retreats; graduate student travel and research; faculty and graduate student travel and research; faculty and graduate student recruitment; and other program initiatives and needs.
Tuttle Lecture Fund
The Tuttle Lecture contributes to the University of Kansas in a uniquely open forum discussing American culture and identity. With your gift, we will continue to list your donations in future programs for the Tuttle Lecture.
The John S. and Yoshino Harmon Multicultural Scholars Award in American Studies
In memory of the parents of former KU professor Chico Herbison and Tanya Farmer, the John S. and Yoshino Harmon Multicultural Scholars Award offers an endowment scholarship to a student majoring in African American or American Studies.
Nadine Requardt Memorial Award for International Students
The Nadine Requardt Memorial Award for International Students provides support for course books, professional development, travel to conferences for international students studying for their Master’s or PhD.
