Biography —
As a non-traditional student, Sarah earned her B.A.in US History with a minor in Women’s Studies from the University of Missouri – Kansas City before completing her M.A. in U.S. Labor History from Sarah Lawrence College in 2005. In the spring of 2023, Sarah completed a master’s in library science with a concentration in archives and special collections. She is currently a PhD student in American Studies. Sarah works as a Graduate Teaching Assistant within the American Studies Department, as well as in the Watson Library honing her skills a researcher and librarian as a Sanders Scholar award recipient. Her interests include issues of labor, race, racialized capitalism, Marxism and Communism in the 20th century. In her downtime, she can often be found ferrying her teenage children to and from multiple events, meeting friends for coffee, rock climbing, skating or hitting the gym for a workout. Sometimes, when time allows, she sleeps.
