PhD candidate Kathryn Vaggalis receives Center for Migration Research Graduate Student Grant

In September 2016, PhD candidate Kathryn Vaggalis received the Center for Migration Research Graduate Student Grant, a $500 award designated for students performing migration-related research. The grant supports students in the Center's mission to promote, coordinate, and facilitate innovative high-quality interdisciplinary research on how human migration both shapes and is shaped by the social landscapes in which it takes place. Kathryn received the award to help fund her visit to the National Archives in Washington, DC to conduct research for her dissertation on early-twentieth century immigrant Greek and Japanese picture brides.
